The Canberra Times

Traditionally print-first, The Canberra Times has evolved into a modern news publisher. The below work showcases some of the digital design transformation. My role involved working as a cross functional designer within the product team.

This has involved moving over to Figma as our preferred design platform & setting up a process which follows atomic design principles; setting up our style libraries, components, templates & moving towards a design system.

DESIGN | PROTOTYPE | MARKETING

I worked on the UI, UX, subscription flows, basic animation & working with the off-shore external development team in the UK. This was the 2nd release for the app, both releases I have handled the design phase.

Website Design.

UI SPECIALIST / UX DESIGN

I’ve enjoyed the design process & gradual iterations of the websites transformation. Project Autumn was a recent project in which we focussed on the responsive design of the website - taking a mobile-first approach on the existing outdated design & tech stack. This project saw all departments of the business working collaboratively towards a meaningful change for the product including; product, commercial, marketing, data & editorial.
